Once a great site, now sadly broken and fairly useless.

I've been a member of MP since 2012. Several years ago it was a great site run by a great guy but it was free, and "free" does not work well. Eventually Steve sold it.
Today it has some nice features but if you are a woman, the man must pay to read your note, pay to send you a note, pay for this, pay for that, pay for each minute of chat.
Also many features are broken. For instance you cannot tell if a person has been there a year ago or yesterday. The "date" feature is, and has been broken.
Sadly it's almost totally nonfunctional and really not worth using at all, not for a Filipina looking for a husband nor for a man looking for a wife.
My advice is: Use another site.
In summary, I would not recommend Melindas Penpals to a friend.
